故事以北里大学十和田校区实际存在过的动物保护团体“犬部”为蓝本，讲述了团体创立者花井飒太从学生时代到成为现役兽医后面对动物保护问题的种种经历。。The series begins when suspected human remains are uncovered on Whitney Marsh - Jess and Sunny are immediately called to the scene, abandoning their evening plans to Jess’s husband’s chagrin.
