焦雷（杨志卿 饰）江湖人称“飞刀追魂”，功夫了得，而他的宿敌于远（井淼 饰）是乾坤剑名手，武功更是高强。两人的恩怨由来已久无法化解，心胸狭窄的焦雷甚至将矛头指向了于远的无辜家人，誓要将其灭门。 在生死存亡的关键时刻，飞刀手杨青（罗烈 饰）出现并救下了于远的女儿于英（郑佩佩 饰），然而，当于英请求杨青助其为父报仇之时，杨青竟然提出了要同于英共度一休春宵的荒诞要求。尽管于英痛恨杨青的风流桀骜，但他是她唯一的希望和依靠，于英也只能忍气吞声，然而，随着时间的推移，于英渐渐发现了杨青正直可靠的一面，亦发现了杨青对自己的真挚感情。。13岁的黑人小孩克里斯（泰勒·詹姆斯·威廉姆 Tyler James Williams 饰）生活在纽约布鲁克林区，家中有做好几份低等工拼命养家、极度抠门的老爸朱利叶斯（泰瑞·克鲁斯 Terry Crews 饰），有虚荣、能干的大嗓门老妈罗谢尔（蒂琪娜·阿诺 Tichin a Arnold 饰），还有一对麻烦的弟妹德鲁（特昆·里奇蒙德 Tequan Richmond 饰）和唐娅（Imani Hakim 饰）。到了上学年龄，克里斯被严格的老妈送入白人学校，不出所料受尽欺侮，但也有幸交到一个好朋友——因瘦弱苍白同样要做受气包的格雷戈（文森特·马特拉 Vincent Martella 饰），每天从家里到学校同样吵闹和无奈，克里斯始终用一种无所谓的自嘲精神面对这一切…… 本剧里面“克里斯”的原型是艾美奖得主、喜剧明星克里斯·洛克（Chris Rock），并由他本人亲自担任独白。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
