少年刘横顺，因崇拜九河城镇安司司长段林，一心想做惩恶扬善的少年英雄。但由于身患“灶病”，因此处处受到段林的限制。中元节河灯会，牵扯出白亭山悬而未决的祭子团大火惨案，刘横顺、杜帅、孙小臭三人决定夜探白亭山，发现藏身于此的魔古道圣女小白，在一番对峙交锋后，刘横顺得知十年前的大火并非意外，而幕后黑手烟斗男的出现，使得案件变得扑朔迷离，真相越来越远……。摄制组辗转于浙江夏渚湖、湖北神农架和河北唐山海滨，首次捕捉到了大量珍贵动物镜头，包括小朱鹮的孵化与成长，川金丝猴与人的情感沟通，以及成千上万的红腹滨鹬在唐山海滨泥滩上极速捕食的高清画面。此外，该纪录片也通过生动的故事，为观众讲述了中国本土野生动物的生存困境，以及科学家为了研究和保护野生动物而付出的艰辛努力。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
