电影讲述的老伍是东北某小城镇有着30多年历史的“民乐大众浴池”中一个普通的搓澡师傅，手艺精湛，性格乐观。然而为了拯救遭遇车祸而昏迷的儿子斌斌的事业危机，老伍毅然南下深圳，接管“海洋之星”洗浴中心，和他曾经的三位老工友们一起再次并肩作战，水土不服的“民乐浴池四大天王”在南方现代大都市中发生了一系列啼笑皆非的故事。。美国唐人街黑帮头子忠胜派手下Joe往劫现任州议员的另一黑帮头子李唐的赌场，在打劫中Joe被迫杀死所有人质，但有一人意外生还，案发后胜带Joe往香港躲避，到香港后方知Joe是救命恩人谢坤之子，阿胜陷入深深痛悔之中，可他的恩人和哥哥还是遭了恶劫力的毒手，为什么要加入黑帮的行列？。This is a very bizarre fairy tale.
