本作は、9歳で失明し、18歳で聴力を失った東京大学の教授でバリアフリー研究者・福島智（ふくしまさとし）と、母・令子の実話をもとにした物語。智の幼少期から大学受験までの姿が描かれる。。This story begins in 1870 at a little town somewhere in Russia. It processed the real "Nyecsajev story". A group of young revolutionists wanna ruin the system with violence. They think this is the only chance to reform the old Russian Society. The leader of this group is Pierre.。
