Plebs follows three desperate young men from the suburbs...。在皖西大别山区的齐云山村，农家媳妇王桂英辛勤经营茶园，却不知丈夫杨民生已生外心。杨民生竞选村长失败后，听信谗言指责妻子与青梅竹马的李传祥关系不当，并迷恋上茶厂会计刘晓芳。得知刘晓芳的丈夫张军实为小保安且背叛她后，杨民生携刘晓芳私奔。张军闻讯砸毁茶园，杨母气病住院，王桂英发现家中钱财被卷走，陷入绝境。后在李传祥和城市姑娘张西岳帮助下，王桂英重整茶园渐现生机。杨民生与刘晓芳感情破裂后潦倒归乡，此时王桂英已蜕变得优雅干练。经历弟弟王建国导致的茶园危机、张西罹患重病仍与杨瑞坚守爱情等磨难后，众人最终在真情守护中找到各自归宿。。
