本剧是根据一宗清代冤案而编著的。梁天来（张家辉）与凌贵兴（邵传勇）为表兄弟，两人起初感情甚笃，可惜后因兴垂涎被父卖入妓寨的冬梅（蔡晓仪）美色，而梅不肯作为兴之妾，逃至梁家，被来收留为婢，兴未能成其好事，故对来渐生芥蒂，并处处为难之....。以中华传统典籍《弟子规》为指导，通过小主人公唐豆豆在奇幻世界的神奇遭遇，表现出传统美德的强大力量，以豆豆和身边同学、家长的学习成长故事，传播传统道德行为规范。。A man finds out from a would be killer that his wife has paid $10,000 to have him killed. But is this mysterious man telling the truth? When both the killer and the wife turn up dead, everyone is a suspect, and the investigation takes an unexpected turn。
