黄氏家庭乃一个警察世家，黄二牛及一个儿子、四个女儿都服务于警队，虽父黄二牛因公殉职，剩下的子女在黄老太带领下继续效力皇家香港警察。六媳妇高丽萍，亦是一名高级警务人员，因公事及私人感情等种种因素，黄家女儿多不满高，令高受尽委屈，高的老公，六子辉亦夹在其中左右为难。但黄老太则十分喜欢高，望高能为黄家传宗接代。警方收到消息，有一帮越南仔准备打劫大世界夜总会，布下天罗地网，由黄氏夫妇担任指挥官，由于大女黄家玲一时冲动，令行动失败，而玲亦误会高令其停职，姑嫂间冲突更加尖锐。不料，越南仔变本加厉，杀死了黄家老六……。某个夜晚，在被称作东京起点的日本桥的麒麟雕像旁边，一名男子踉跄着跌倒，最终失血过多死亡。死者名叫青柳武明（中井贵一 饰），是金崎金属制造公司的本部长。颇令警方费解的是，青柳在腹部被刺的情况下并没有立刻叫救护车，而是隐忍着走了长达8分钟的路程。同一晚，无业青年八岛冬树（三浦贵大 饰）被卡车撞成重伤，昏迷不醒。因为他拿着青柳的公文包，所以警方将八岛看作重要嫌疑人。本案的种种疑点，令日本桥警署的刑警加贺恭一郎（阿部宽 饰）陷入思索之中。他不仅走访了青柳的家人、八岛的同居女友中原香织（新垣结衣 饰），还尝试着重走青柳生前在日本桥附近的生活足迹，种种谜团和各种情感纠葛渐渐浮出水面…… 本片根据推理小说名家东野圭吾自诩的系列“最高杰作”《麒麟之翼》改编。。Greece, in the 1920's, is occupied by the Turks. The country is in turmoil with entire villages uprooted. The site of the movie is a Greek village that conducts a passion play each year. The leading citizens of the town, under the auspices of the Patriarch, choose those that will play the parts in the Passion. A stuttering shepherd is chosen to play Jesus. The town butcher (who wanted to be Jesus) is chosen as Judas. The town prostitute is chosen as Mary Magdalene. The rest of the disciples are also chosen. As the movie unfolds, the Passion Play becomes a reality. A group of villagers, uprooted by the war and impoverished, arrive at the village led by their priest. The wealthier citizens of the town want nothing with these people and manipulate a massacre. In the context of the 1920's each of the characters plays out their biblical role in actuality.。
