In this film, Keaton, Arbuckle, and others, work as stagehands, backstage of course, in a playhouse trying to help and in some cases, stay far away from ...。范旭川（焦恩俊饰）自小在孤儿院长大，与姐姐美珠(曾亚君饰)相依为命，与儿时玩伴林彩娟 (张庭饰) 感情深厚。旭川偶遇之玲（俞小凡饰），即被之玲的温柔善良所深深吸引，而展开追求行动，但此举动却为之玲同事石康文（林炜饰）看在眼理，心生醋意。之玲眼见之芳的婚姻不幸福，对婚姻产生恐惧，而拒绝旭川，康文二人感情，不料却又遭彩娟和康文二人联手打击，而再次陷入痛苦深渊之中……。
