本片讲述的是南极帝企鹅族群孕育新生命的故事：企鹅爸爸和企鹅妈妈从相遇到相爱之后生下企鹅蛋，再到它们把企鹅蛋放在肚皮与脚之间孵出企鹅宝宝，小企鹅的生命历程就这样开始了。在小企鹅没长大之前，严寒、冰川裂缝以及强壮的海燕都可能危及它们脆弱的生命，它们得要努力地长大才行。一旦它们长大了，父母就会离开小企鹅，让它们独自面对未知的海洋世界。凭借自然的直觉，追随着神秘的召唤，小企鹅们踏上未知的旅程，这是属于它们的鹅生传奇。帝企鹅就这样生存繁衍在这片神奇的南极大路上，生生不息…。菜鸟特工宋雨浓，崇拜着外冷内热的师兄谢醉桥，然而因为自己的鲁莽和生疏，频遭醉桥训斥，每次都被带着出任务，没有机会开枪。而狙击手谢醉桥因为特殊的能力和杀伐果断的性格、毫不仁慈，百发百中的枪法，被称为「艳火枪手」。 一个重要通缉的危险人物，黑秒针，在在一次特工任务中闹翻了整个总部。提携宋雨浓的长官娄群面临质询，盛怒之下苛责宋雨浓不作为，宋雨浓负气追击黑秒针，每次都跟在醉桥身后的雨浓欲上前击毙敌人，不料不敌。谢醉桥为了保护宋雨浓暴露被杀。雨浓连尸体都来不及抢回便被队友救走，醉桥牺牲。宋雨浓再次醒来的时候发现这个名号居然被封在自己头上，没有人记得谢醉桥这个人，也没有见到谢醉桥的尸体。雨浓试图找到其中究竟发生了什么，来拯救师哥，去联系师哥有关的人，长官娄群，醉桥护理枪的店老板沙明，通过他们罗生门式的叙述，却发现，谢醉桥的死正是他的死亡造成的……多个轮回每个都指向了醉桥的死亡……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
