大清雍正年间，重臣丧期竟有人伺意寻欢，四阿哥弘历（何晟铭 饰）来到风月场所宜春山庄查访，发现吴文斌被人刺杀，珠宝失窃。弘历查处了前来寻欢的几名大员，并暗中查访刺客，终于查明杀手是赛貂婵。赛原名宋田田（蒋梦婕 饰），是淮阳盐帮帮主宋知庸（吴岱融 饰）的义女，她与吴文斌有不共戴天之仇，当年吴抄斩了她们全家，她因不在家幸免于难。宋田田掉入官府所设陷阱，弘历出手相救。陷阱是弘时（李泰 饰）所设，雍正并不知情，他要弘历一天内破案。证人陈六吃了苏公公（任学海 饰）送的饺子气绝身亡，这一切都没瞒过弘历的眼睛。第二天他向雍正汇报破案经过并提出自己的观点，弘时趁机攻击弘历，雍正闻听弘历要让八叔进京，立刻口吐鲜血......。We take our liberties for granted.
