故事发生在清朝末年，大侦探福尔摩斯（范艾理 饰）和助手华生（许忠权 饰）一起来到中国游玩，投宿在仙来客栈。没想到客栈被官兵重重把守，一片鹤唳风声的肃杀气氛。原来，朝廷的一批价值连城的珠宝不翼而飞，负责护送珠宝的将军布克亦身首异处。于是，福尔摩斯和华生便留了下来，企图侦破此案。 很快，现场留下的种种蛛丝马迹便将马贩子金马掌（王赤 饰）给牵扯了出来，哪知道仙来客栈的女掌柜白芙蓉（秀兰丽梅 饰）抢先一步向金马掌通风报信，当一行人赶到金马掌处时，等待着他们的只有空空如也的屋子和布克的人头。与此同时，白芙蓉也在暗中调查着案件的真相，并且发现，这一切似乎和汉奸杜文才有着千丝万缕的关联。。一次撞机后，已经失控的客机的继续飞行在德国上空。撞击点却不得而知，而柏林的中心在精准的计算后，也就是现在，为了阻止灾难的降临，必须将飞机必须击落以获得更小的损失。。The expanded third season picks up six months after the events of season two and follows Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee as they investigate the disappearance of two boys, with only an abandoned bicycle and blood-stained patch of ground left in their wake.
