本剧讲述了儿童福利院的职员·赤山诚司（桐谷健太饰）看着那些在不富裕的环境中长大却对将来抱有梦想和希望的孩子们，相信着他们有的未来。有一天，因为某些事情，赤山突然失去了消息。再次回来的赤山所看到的，是失去梦想和希望、站在绝望深渊、面目全非的五个学生。时隔20年再次见面的恩师和学生们一边碰撞一边加深了羁绊。最终什么都不是的他们跨越世代联手，对抗腐朽的巨大权力。。The film describes the events leading up to, and including, the massacre of the adults of a small town in Nebraska by their children, after the adults' irresponsibility ruins the crop and the children's future.。
