When Berlin falls to the Russians, and her husband killed, she flees to America, carrying his unborn child, all the while not giving up hope that she will find her family, tied together by her mother's ring。《冰雪绽放》共五集，全篇以“从温哥华到索契”这个奥运周期为时间线索，以冰雪健儿备战2014年冬奥会为主题内容，同时兼顾国际视野与人文情怀，并着眼于“冰雪”与“运动”之间仿若“冰与火”的碰撞与交融。并从“人”的角度出发，探讨冰雪运动发展的社会基础及其在社会生活中的价值和意义。。
