影片讲述了一高中生打算组装一辆卡车准备出出风头，但是报废车辆的零件哪有那么好用。这是，小镇上出现了一个类似章鱼的大怪兽，不知道从哪里来，但是这头怪兽竟然能躲进卢卡斯的卡车里，并且和卡车融为一体，就这样，卢卡斯拥有了惊世骇俗的怪兽卡车，去到哪里都是如履平地、所向披靡。。明塱集团主席王进涛（钟镇涛饰）与著名心脏外科医生董一妍（宣萱饰）在欧洲举行了一场豪华婚礼，婚礼过后，进涛与两名儿子及孙儿在意外中丧生。这场悲剧让王家及集团陷入混乱，进涛的宿敌柯永成（汤镇业饰）更企图伺机夺取明塱的核心项目。同时要应付王家权力斗争及外界阴谋较量的一妍，为稳固在明塱的地位，试图拉拢进涛的两位儿媳文以珈（刘佩玥饰）和陈丽雪（吴若希饰）维持大局，然而新加入的董事方欣（陈炜饰），也对明塱虎视眈眈。而在这场权力与利益争夺战中，参与者还有带着神秘身份、与以珈有过一段情的戴德桥（陈展鹏饰）……。Written by the director himself, the story revolves around an “absent” hero: an astronaut lost in the emptiness of space.
