故事发生在文革时期的江南某地。反修医院革委会主任贾一民（叶志康 饰）响应“中央文革”联络员指示，踢开“臭老九”，起用“小闯将”，竟然让只学过几天医的炊事员姚尧（谢园 饰），让他给急症病人鲁大牛（王国京 饰）开刀。结果他把病人好肠子割掉一截，病变的盲肠却留在肚子里。自知无能的姚尧要求回伙房，但贾一民却为一已之私非要把他培养成“样板医生”，让他给病人苏宗棠（石灵 饰）做胆囊手术。幸而因突发原因，原外科“一把刀”常春来（丁嘉元 饰）冒险主刀。术后，苏因错服姚尧送来的药，昏死过去，贾一民得知消息，心生一计......。György Fehér是匈牙利电影长镜头学派的另一位大师级导演，与杨索属同代人，可惜他的作品很少而且极难看到。。。 If you like to see what movies are really about (i.e. moving)you should see szurkulet. This highly original and intense film is an exercise in style 'pur sang'. The story is loosely based on 'es geschah am hellichten Tag' by Friedrich Durrenmatt. They have known each other for a very long time, Gedda always tries to be one step ahead of Jan. Jan longs for more freedom. When his father-in-law dies, he wants to do something about that suffocating relationship. But then the first signs of Alzheimer's begin to manifest in Jan.。
