该剧讲述了共产党战士唐烨在东北光复过程中救了国民党情报人员武同，几经周折武同发现唐烨竟是自己失散多年的儿子，并陷入纠结和选择。。志愿成为摄影师的泉泽月子（中村麻美饰）3年曾遭遇一场车祸，在此之后她便患上失眠症，并且无法回忆起车祸之前发生的事。为了摆脱困扰，月子向精神科医生細野辰子（洞口依子饰）求助。通过催眠疗法，月子无意识说出了“富江”这个名字。不久，刑警原田省二（田口トモロヲ 饰）拜访细野，因为他正在调查的神秘女子富江（菅野美穂饰）与细野和月子都有着千丝万缕的关系。与此同时，月子公寓的楼下搬来一个行踪诡秘的男子，与他同来的还有一颗具有生命并且持续生长的头颅。月子尘封的噩梦渐渐被揭开…… 本片根据日本著名恐怖漫画家伊藤润二的同名系列漫画改编。。BotBots are Transformer robots that disguise themselves as everyday mall objects.
