《.hack//G.U. TRILOGY》是由RPG《.hack//G.U.》改编而来的93分钟长篇动画，故事讲述2017年，“The World”的续作“The World R:2”席卷世界，而由于设计缺陷而使R:2变成了无法无天的PK地带，而这部《.hack//G.U. TRILOGY》就是讲述发生在已变质的R:2世界里的悲剧故事。动画化阵容基本沿袭游戏阵容，原作游戏总指挥松山洋将担任动画监督。。Hugo Llor, a 12-year-old boy who spends most of his time on the streets. His day is also spent in the shipyards and his dream is to become a shipbuilding craftsman, although his fate is uncertain. Hugo's life is not easy, he is a very lonely boy and his mother is forced to move away from him, but he has the support and protection of a respected old man: Arnau Estanyol.。本片讲述了一位身患绝症的“教授”，由于命运捉弄，他又目睹了与神秘邻居阿加莎有关的一起奇异事件。为了找到治疗他疾病的方法，他同意跟随她踏上一段陌生而冒险的旅程，进入一个被遗忘但并非完全荒芜的城市荒地。 《阿加莎》的设计旨在唤起一种不安的情绪，并留下许多关于故事中发生的事件的未解之谜。时间的流逝，自然、制度和人的解体，都为这个故事奠定了基调。。
